Terms of Use

These Terms govern your use of Redraw Pakistan, including anonymous map creation, account features, downloads, research use, and public gallery submissions.

1. Acceptance

By using Redraw Pakistan, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service or submit content. You must be at least 13 years old and legally able to agree to these Terms, or use the service with permission from a parent or guardian.

2. Purpose and status

Redraw Pakistan is an independent educational and civic-exploration project. It lets participants reorganize districts into proposed provinces, federal territories, or other administrative units and explain their reasoning. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Government of Pakistan, any political party, or any territorial authority. Results are not a representative poll and should not be presented as an official boundary proposal.

3. Accounts and recovery links

You may create and download a map without an account. Publication and durable cross-device management require sign-in. You are responsible for protecting email sign-in links, private recovery links, and recovery credentials. Do not share a private recovery link publicly. Notify us if you believe your account or project has been accessed without permission.

4. Your content and permission to operate the service

You retain any rights you hold in original names, captions, and explanations you submit. You give Redraw Pakistan a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, format, translate when requested, analyze, and generate downloads from that content solely to operate, secure, improve, and study the service.

Submitting to the gallery grants an additional licence to publicly display, distribute, and promote that approved version until it is withdrawn or removed. Public attribution remains “Anonymous” unless you choose a display name. You confirm that you have the right to submit the content and that it follows the Community Guidelines.

5. Acceptable use

You may express political, administrative, economic, cultural, or geographic views, including unpopular views, provided you do so lawfully and without abuse. You may not use the service to threaten or harass people, promote hatred or violence, expose private information, impersonate others, infringe intellectual-property rights, manipulate likes, distribute malware, disrupt the service, or submit unlawful material. Detailed rules appear in the Community and Submission Guidelines.

6. Completion, moderation, and versions

A completed map may be locked as a historical response. Editing a completed or published map creates a new version rather than replacing the approved record. Gallery publication is discretionary and subject to moderation. We may approve, reject, return, limit, label, or remove content under the Community Guidelines. Moderators may correct clear spelling or translation errors or remove an isolated prohibited term, but should not change district assignments or the creator’s political meaning.

7. Downloads, data, and availability

Map images, reports, statistics, translations, district boundaries, population data, connectivity warnings, and other outputs may contain errors, omissions, outdated information, or incomplete territorial coverage. They are provided for discussion and educational use, not as legal, surveying, electoral, academic, investment, or government advice. Boundary displays do not imply political endorsement.

We may change, suspend, or discontinue features, correct errors, or limit access when reasonably necessary. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or permanent retention of anonymous drafts.

8. Disclaimer and limitation

The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the maximum extent permitted by law. Redraw Pakistan disclaims implied warranties of accuracy, fitness, non-infringement, and availability. To the extent permitted by law, the project and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses resulting from use of the service, reliance on its outputs, data loss, or third-party conduct. Nothing in these Terms limits rights or liabilities that cannot legally be limited.

9. Termination and removal

You may stop using the service at any time and may request removal through the Content Removal page. We may restrict accounts or remove content that violates these Terms, creates legal or safety risk, or threatens the service. Where practical, creators may be told the reason and given an opportunity to revise or appeal.

10. Governing terms and contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the applicable federal laws of Canada, without limiting mandatory rights that apply in your location. If one provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue. Questions may be sent to redrawpakistan@gmail.com.
